Sustainability for De Rigo
For De Rigo, sustainability means respect: for people, for the supply chain and for the future. We innovate products and processes with responsibility, improving the impact of our work on the world around us step by step. The values that guide us are those that reflect our responsibility towards the future: equity, transparency, and innovation
The impact on people
Inclusivity policies
De Rigo actively promotes diversity and inclusion, with a particular focus on policies against gender and ethnic discrimination, implementing educational programmes on the themes of cultural diversity, inclusive communication and mutual respect. Women make up 65% of the workforce, a concrete sign of the attention paid to positive social impact.
Gender Equality Certification
The Gender Equality Certification (UNI/PdR 125:2022) formalises a company culture already oriented towards talent and diversity. The company is committed to ensuring an inclusive work environment, respectful of differences in gender, ethnicity and other individual characteristics. The Gender Equality Policy sets clear objectives for pay equity, career management and parenting, and envisages ad hoc measures for work-life balance.
Work-life balance
The company promotes work-life balance through initiatives dedicated to parenting and people’s well-being, supported by a flexible and integrated welfare system that includes supplementary health insurance, welfare credit, digital services and partner benefits. In this context, the De Rigo Foundation supports the growth of new generations by awarding scholarships to employees’ children, valuing merit and educational development.
Supply chain and production: a shared line of responsibility
The supply chain integrates customers, partners and suppliers in a path of shared responsibility, based on trust, transparency and reliability.
For this reason, the Code of Ethics has been sent to all suppliers to ensure alignment on quality, ethics and sustainability along the entire value chain.
We adopt strict standards to reduce risks and waste, promoting sustainable practices: a responsible supply chain is the basis for better products and a positive impact on the environment and society.
De Rigo has obtained ISCC Plus certification, which allows us to monitor and demonstrate the sustainability of our products, from raw materials to finished goods. This certification covers agricultural and forestry raw materials, crop residues, waste, recycled materials and bio-based products, and is aligned with the sustainability objectives of the 2030 Agenda.
In addition to the ongoing sustainability initiatives, De Rigo Vision has chosen to formalize its commitment by the implementation of an Environmental Management System, compliant with the UNI ISO 14001:2015 standard.
Innovative materials and responsible solutions
With innovative materials and conscious solutions, we rethink products and production processes to reduce waste and emissions, transforming every choice into a concrete step towards change. We analyse each phase of the production cycle to optimise consumption, waste and time, adopting technologies that allow us to be more efficient. Reducing waste is not just a goal, but a daily practice that guides the decisions of our technical departments.
Logistics rethought from a sustainable perspective
New energy-saving projects and solutions that optimise the movement of products drive our daily commitment, along with the use of renewable energy sources to improve energy efficiency. We aim to reduce packaging, made with recyclable and compostable materials from FSC-certified suppliers, while promoting the consolidation of shipments. We implement data collection systems and constantly monitor our environmental performance to improve and define new priorities for action. We believe that innovation and sustainability should go forward hand in hand, supporting each other. This way, each of our choices becomes part of a broader path, oriented towards a truly more conscious future.
