De Rigo Vision and Inticom present the latest line of Sting for Yamamay eyeewar

De Rigo Vision Spa and Inticom Spa have announced a new partnership agreement for the global launch of an exclusive line of STING for YAMAMAY sunglasses, involving two of the greatest world leaders in the optical and lingerie sectors respectively. The agreement, stemming from the two firm's sincere regard for one another, is based on the findings of a thorough market survey, which highlighted a similarity in the values and target audience of the two brands.

STING, the youngest brand owned by the De Rigo group, was created during the 1980s as a line of original and striking sunglasses for men. Sting eyewear soon became a sophisticated and fashionable accessory, in recent years also appealing to a wide range of female wearers who always keep abreast of the latest trends, expressing their individuality with a unique sense of style.

YAMAMAY is an Inticom brand specialising in lingerie, pyjamas and swimwear, distributed through the chain of franchised stores by the same name. Created in 2001, in just a few years the brand achieved remarkable success thanks to its unmistakeably fresh and sexy style, expressing joie de vivre and light-heartedness.

The STING for YAMAMAY acetate eyewear, designed and produced by De Rigo Vision in collaboration with the Yamamay style department, features exclusive designs reminiscent of the 2009 swimwear collection, completing this summer's striking look with a fun accessory that is a real must for the hot season.

The collection includes three models, available in four fashion-forward colour versions. Each model takes its name from a stunning beach: Ipanema, Goa, and Venice Beach. Glamorously large vintage shapes are matched with playful white polka-dot temples - the stuff a young diva is made of. Furthermore, shaded lenses and striking plays of colours make for a truly seductive look. The logo, combining that of both brands, is added to the temples like a plaque, in true 1970s style. This new line of eyewear is to be launched in late March 2009 and will be available through a select network of opticians and all leading Yamamay stores in Italy and abroad, at the retail price of €79.

The Sting for Yamamay project includes special packaging, a fun couvette with a tropical design, and ad hoc shop window material and other coordinating POS items, for an evocative, high-impact communication campaign.
