The new limited edition that pays homage to the 75th International Film Festival

Unique savoir-faire and jewellery-inspired creations from which it is impossible to avert your gaze: the new limited-edition ‘Red Carpet 2022’ eyewear collection by Chopard - designed by De Rigo Vision - celebrates the historical ties between the luxury maison and the cinematic world.

The iconic brand, which has made cinematography its muse, is once again presenting a preview of an exclusive capsule collection of sunglasses and prescription frames at this year’s Cannes Film Festival: one style for women and two for men. Works of art to all intents and purposes, featuring an abundance of sophisticated finishes and details, inspired by haute joaillerie. From the 306 premium-quality crystals and gold plating that embellish the women's style, to the iconic ‘diamond pattern’ that characterises the men's styles, nothing is left to chance. Each frame will be accompanied by an exclusive dedicated case.

The ‘Red Carpet 2022’ collection takes centre stage in the photographic campaign shot by Mariano Vivanco. The photos, which portray model Petra Němcová - Chopard's global brand ambassador - and Italian actor Michele Morrone, combine the magnificence of the fashion house with the glamour of La Croisette, in images of strong scenic impact and timeless elegance.

The women’s sunglasses are inspired by the Haute Joaillerie Precious Lace collection, which evokes the delicacy of Venetian lace and the wave design.

The sunglasses style features a broad, square-shaped front piece and is rendered unique by the 306 premium-quality handset crystals that adorn the sophisticated embellishment on the upper part of the temples, which creates a sublime interplay of light for the wearer. This 23K gold-plated style is available in the more glamorous ivory variant or in the more classic black colour option. An elegant box paired with a stylish clutch gives a unique allure to this sumptuous creation.

Luxury and exclusivity for a contemporary gentleman: a sunglasses style which expresses the luxury of the Chopard brand through the use of exquisite materials, the finest workmanship and a passion for details.

The Red Carpet Limited Edition by Chopard Eyewear consists of two 23K gold-plated sunglasses styles - one sporting a hexagonal front piece and the other a geometric cat-eye front piece. Both rimless styles feature statement lenses with their profile engraved by the iconic ‘diamond pattern’, which is inspired by the packaging of the brand's fragrances. The same detailing is present on the tubular temples, embellished with both refined and elegant black agate stones and the Chopard logo. The styles are accompanied by a sophisticated black fabric box to match the case.
