Belluno, Monday 17 September - The Civic Theatre in Belluno was the venue of the first corporate responsibility initiative sponsored by the De Rigo - HEART Foundation. Established this year on request from the De Rigo family to mark the company’s 40th anniversary, the Foundation has chosen to focus its activities on social projects with an international dimension dedicated to future generations.
The evening included the award of 66 student grants to the most deserving students among the children of the Group’s employees. This project is renewed every year and De Rigo places great faith in it. The event was also an occasion to meet the young people, offering them an opportunity for growth and a special experience.
“NOTHING MUST STOP OUR DREAMS” was the topic of the meeting between the stage and an exceptional guest - Gessica Notaro, a young woman who managed to achieve her ambitions without letting adverse events stop her. On the stage with the award winners, Gessica spoke about her personal experience and provided a concrete example of how important it is to love other people and not be stopped by life’s hurdles. It was a very emotional moment, moderated by the storyteller Andrea Bettini and with the musical contribution of the musician and composer Chris Lavoro, who was behind the evening’s soundtrack with some songs that represented the main events in Gessica’s life.
“As a family we feel truly proud we managed to create a Foundation that is active internationally and works to support the next generations. We are particularly pleased to inaugurate the activities of the Foundation with an event dedicated to our young people, the children of our employees, to whom we want to offer stimulating challenges and opportunities to build a future that is truly theirs,” commented Barbara De Rigo, Chairman of the Foundation.
