The early renewal of the agreement reflects the strategic harmony and solidarity that defines the relationship between the two companies, which joined forces in 2004 and have recently experienced outstanding double-digit growth in Europe’s main markets as well as in Asia. Of the various European markets, particularly good results have been observed in German-speaking countries - Germany, Austria and Switzerland - owing to the direct overseeing of distribution activities that began in 2016 with the opening of the De Rigo Vision D.A.CH. branch, privileged interlocutor for local opticians, and to the popularity of the fashion brand whose headquarters are located in Munich, Germany. In line with the re-definition of the ESCADA image and the brand’s focus on the modern woman of today, the two companies have joined forces to align themselves with the new offer structure, developing a wider and more complete product range.
“We are particularly proud of this strategic partnership for our Group, which further strengthens the long-standing and solid relationship between our companies first established in 2004 and that continues today to our mutual satisfaction”, commented Michele Aracri, Managing Director of De Rigo Vision.
“De Rigo has been an essential partner in the development of our ESCADA license business. The extended license agreement will meaningfully secure ESCADA’s presence in the highly attractive eyewear market and we firmly believe that our collaboration will provide both companies important growth opportunities”. Iris Epple-Righi, CEO ESCADA SE
