De Rigo Vision and Escada launch limited edition model ESCADA SIGHTSAVERS in support of Sightsavers, a charitable organization

Longarone/Italy, 18 February 2011. 45 million people in the world are blind, two thirds of them women. In 80% of the causes in developing countries, blindness could have been avoided or treated. The charity Sightsavers, which is committed to helping those in need around the world, is being supported by the Italian spectacle manufacturer De Rigo Vision - the current license holder of ESCADA Eyewear.
In Germany, the charitable mission of saving eyesight is being promoted by a striking model of sunglasses called ESCADA SIGHTSAVERS: an eye-catching style featuring a concise design with its round black and white marbled frame, reminiscent of the 70s.
The ESCADA SIGHTSAVERS edition is limited to 999 pieces and will be available from April at Escada boutiques and selected top opticians for € 249,-. The launch of these sunglasses in Germany is helping to raise awareness  and funds for the women of Mumbai, India, who desperately need  eye care to enable them to work and subsequently support their families.
